RAID 10 is a stripe of mirrors, each mirror containing 2 drives therefore 4 hard drives are used in our Raid 10 configurations. RAID-10 provides better fault resilience and 'rebuild' performance and should one drive fail another drive takes over so you will not have any downtime or lose your websites data.

Premium Tier 1 Bandwidth

The amount of hosting traffic you can use on your hosting account in a given monthly time period. Example if your account allows 5GB monthly traffic that is the amount you have each month to use (note: unused traffic does not roll over to the following month).

Sub Domains

A subdomain is a subsection of your website that exists as a subdirectory in your public_html folder. Subdomains use a prefix in conjunction with the domain name. For example, if the registered domain name was example.com, the subdomain will be prefix.example.com.

POP3 (Post Office Protocol) is the most commonly used email protocol. When using a POP3 (Post Office Protocol) mailbox, the messages are downloaded and stored on your computer. IMAP/Secure IMAP Email

IMAP stores your mail folders (inbox, sent items, etc) on the server. Because IMAP stores all your email folders on the mail server, you can view them from any location (home, office, etc). Typically a POP3 compatible email program would download all your mail from the mail server to your computer, and then delete it from the server. In contrast, IMAP compatible email programs manipulate messages directly on the server. This ensures that you always see a consistent view of your mailbox from all the devices you use to access your mail. Email programs allow users employing IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) email accounts to secure their incoming emails with Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL, encryption technology. An E-Mail alias is simply a forwarding e-mail address. Each e-mail alias you create simply forwards e-mail on to any e-mail address that you specify. E-Mail aliases are often used to create handy replacements for long or difficult-to-remember e-mail addresses. They can also be used to create generic e-mail addresses such as webmaster@yourcompany.com and info@yourcompany.com.

Catch-All Email Address

This address will receive any mail sent to an invalid email address for the current domain. The default address is also commonly called a "catch-all address". It is possible to define how the default address handles the incoming messages via your cPanel control panel.

Auto Responders

Autoresponders allow you to send a message in response to incoming email automatically. This feature can be configured to automatically send response messages. This can be useful when the recipient is unavailable.

Mailing Lists

GD Graphics Library

GD is an open source code library for the dynamic creation of images by programmers. GD is written in C, and "wrappers" are available for Perl, PHP and other languages. Netpbm is a toolkit for manipulation of graphic images, including conversion of images between a variety of different formats. There are over 300 separate tools in the package including converters for about 100 graphics formats. Examples of the sort of image manipulation we're talking about are: Shrinking an image by 10%; Cutting the top half off of an image; Making a mirror image; Creating a sequence of images that fade from one image to another.
